The co-production team took our work on the road a couple of weeks ago by attending the CommUNITY Day in Ravenscourt Park. CommUNITY Day is an annual event that celebrates everything that is great about Hammersmith & Fulham including food, music, community groups and residents.
Rana, co-production officer and Ivan, co-production support officer at Hammersmith & Fulham Council spent the day with Donna Fenner, Disabled resident co-chair of Co-production Matters H&F talking to local people, community organisations and councillors about the work we are doing to bring to life the council's commitment to working in co-production with residents. It was also an opportunity to encourage more people to get involved to make this happen. The residents were really impressed with the level of commitment and influence the existing co-production groups are having on shaping a more inclusive and accessible borough for ALL residents.
Co-production is changing the way we do things with residents rather to them. Co-production is about residents influencing policies and services from the start to end of a process and there is pioneering work that is being done across all sections of the council. Residents are working alongside key decision makers to build shared solutions that are implemented at the Council.
