Streetwise Opera is an award-winning charity that uses music to help homeless people make positive changes in their lives. This is done through a weekly music programme in homeless centres and community venues across England and Wales and by staging critically-acclaimed opera productions starring homeless performers alongside professionals.
Streetwise Opera currently run free singing and creative workshops delivered weekly at The Connection at St Martin's in partnership with The Passage and at the Southbank Centre.
The workshops at The Connection are open only to clients of The Connection and The Passage. The workshops at the Southbank Centre are open to anyone who is currently homeless, vulnerably housed or has been affected by homelessness.
Streetwise Opera has performed at the Royal Festival Hall, The Royal Opera House, The V&A Museum, The Design Museum and other venues and events.
