River House Homeshare aims to help older people living locally, as well as householders living with HIV all over London, to stay in their homes for longer whist also having a small impact on the housing crisis.
The scheme encourages mutuality and companionship, where Homesharers offer support by giving 10 hours of their time each week helping around the home.
This may include cooking, gardening, cleaning, shopping and companionship (no personal care).
The householder with a spare room provides help and support to people by offering them a place to live and welcoming them into their homes.
In addition, River House Homeshare provide services for 50+ include regular social outings, lunches, help with small grants for essential items, and help and advice with finding suitable accommodation from the Seniors Social Worker.
