POSK - The Polish Social & Cultural Association aims to provide a strong Polish focus in London and to draw on what is happening in the cultural life of Poland.
It offers a chance to meet and make friends, to relax in a Polish atmosphere, to buy and borrow books and magazines, to view Polish art, to see the latest Polish films, Polish plays or cabaret - often invited from Poland. Most of the leading lights of the Polish stage have performed at POSK at one time or another. POSK also offers a theatre and rooms for hire and hosts traditional folk dance classes,
POSK is open to and welcomes people of all nationalities.
Welfare Committee
Members of the POSK Welfare Committee visit patients in West London hospitals and elderly Poles in their homes. During hospital visits, members of the Welfare Committee can act as translators for the patients. They inform the church of St Andrzej Bobola whose priests can visit patients for spiritual support.
Once a year the Committee organise a Christmas party for pensioners who are members of POSK.
