Muscular Dystrophy UK supports individuals and families with experience of muscle-wasting conditions. This encompasses more than 60 rare and very rare progressive muscle-weakening and wasting conditions, affecting around 70,000 children and adults in the UK.
They:
- advocate for faster access to emerging treatment for families in the UK
- ensure everyone has the specialist NHS care and support they need – the right help at the right time, wherever they live.
- provide a range of services and resources to help people live as independently as possible.

It is a fantastic opportunity to meet people and their families in the region affected by muscular dystrophy or a related neuromuscular condition and to share information and advice through peer to peer support.
Everyone is welcome to these meetings – whether you have been coming for years or have never been before. Families, friends, carers and PAs are all welcome to join.
