They provide information and support so that no one has to face macular disease alone. They have more than 250 Macular Society support groups around the UK and beyond. The groups are run by volunteers, most of whom have macular disease themselves. Everyone is welcome.

Their group members are experts on living with macular conditions. They also have a helpline as well as befriending and counselling services and they offer one-to-one training in skills to make the best use of remaining vision. All their services are free to anyone who needs them. They work with other charities and eye care professionals to campaign for better care. Thanks to the generosity of their members and supporters they have been able to fund nearly £1.8m of research into macular conditions.

Their vision is to find a cure for macular disease in the future; excellence in treatment, rehabilitation and support now.

Their Mission is to offer information and support to improve lives today and to fund research so that one day they can overcome macular disease.
