Hammersmith & Fulham Council provide a household collection service for clinical or incontinence waste subject to a referral from your GP, District Nurse or Social Worker.
We collect the following types of waste;
- Incontinence waste (incontinence pads) - Service users are supplied with the appropriate coloured or marked sacks to store the incontinence waste in, in readiness for the once weekly collection service.
- Clinical (infectious) waste - bandages and dressings - Service users are supplied with the appropriate coloured or marked sacks to store the infectious clinical waste in, in readiness for the once weekly collection service. Your GP, nurse or Social Worker should return a referral via email to clinicalwaste@lbhf.gov.uk
- Sharps bins (needles etc) - Service users in receipt of this service are required to contact the office 48 hours in advance of the allocated collection day to confirm that they require a collection.
Clinical or incontinent waste collections are made once a week on a fixed day based on the service users post code and address.
You can report a missed collection of clinical or incontinence waste.
