GoodGym helps volunteers to get fit by doing good: we'll connect volunteers with physical tasks that benefit their community and keep them fit.
Run in a pack to work on a community project, do one off missions to help vulnerable people, or commit to visiting an isolated older person. You'll get the help of a qualified trainer and support to achieve your goals.
We often run with a group of volunteers to the home of someone in need of support, and will help with a deep clean /painting / clearing out / anything the person can think of. All the person needs to do is supply things like cleaning products, paint etc.
The runners arrive at a set time and will stay with the person for up to an hour. The size of the group varies but if they can't finish a job they can return the following week.
The scheme runs a group in Hammersmith & Fulham.
