The Creighton Centre (formerly known as Bishop Creighton House) is a charity and community centre that provides numerous services for residents of West London to tackle the problems caused by social isolation and disadvantage.
Services on offer include:
- Homeline offers long-term befriending services, helping to reduce isolation and loneliness for 60+ residents living in Hammersmith and Fulham. Home visiting, outdoor walking support, telephone safe & well service and weekly/monthly activities on offer. New befriending support on offer for people living with dementia.
- Safer Homes offers free home safety, fire safety and security assessments to Hammersmith & Fulham residents 65+, living with a disability and families with children under 5 or children living with disabilities. In addition, the small jobs service can provide a skilled handyperson to carry out jobs such as fitting door and window locks, putting up shelves, building flat packed furniture and draught proofing.
- Keep Active is a volunteer delivered integrated care service, run in partnership with the local NHS rehabilitation teams. Keep Active helps older people (60+) back to independence after a fall or illness. Volunteers are matched with clients and visit them weekly for up to nine weeks providing encouragement and support to continue working on their mobility goals.
- Learning Disability Outreach supports adults with learning disabilities to realise their potential, develop skills and build social networks. The project currently offers one-to-one mentoring, social trips and training courses such as literacy and gardening.
- Care & Repair is a home improvement agency specialising in disability adaptations. We help disabled people, including children, and vulnerable older people. The type of work carried out is wide ranging, including ground floor extensions, ramps, level access showers, stair lifts, door widening and kitchen adaptations.
- The Community Centre has meeting rooms available to hire seven days a week from 9am to 10pm.
