We are part of The Libraries Consortium - a group of 23 public library authorities. H&F library members now benefit from a much wider range of stock.
You will also be able to visit any of the libraries in the consortium to borrow books and use the facilities including PCs and Wi-Fi.
If you are already a member of TLC you can use your existing card in our libraries. You do not need to join again. The consortium provides over 7 million items for you to use including:
- over 100,000 ebooks, eaudiobooks, enewspapers, emagazines and digital articles through our subscriptions to online databases
- over 215 reference books through Oxford Reference and in our online reference library
- over 1,000 newspapers through PressReader and our historical newspapers database, Times Digital Archive 1785-1985
- 60,000 digital books plus almost 5,000 magazines, comics and graphic books through Libby and BorrowBox.
You can borrow and reserve items as normal and ask for them to be delivered to your local branch for you to collect.
Deliveries arrive twice a week, early on Tuesdays and Fridays. To have the best weekend, curled up with your favourite book , pick up your reservation before we close on Fridays or early on Saturday.
If you don't already have the Libby or BorrowBox app you can find them on Google Play or Apple App Store.
We are committed to helping you with your questions so if you need any assistance, please ask in branch or by email.
