Mund Street

Overview

A former school site which offers an opportunity to provide much needed new housing.

New homes

Early feasibility studies indicate the capacity for approximately 100 new homes on the site of which at least 50% will be affordable. 60% of the new affordable homes will be for social rent, and 40% shared ownership.

Current position

Following feedback from the 1st public exhibition further work is being carried out on the preliminary designs for this development.

Next steps

We held public consultation events in spring 2024. Residents were invited to attend were able to see these designs and discuss any points they wanted to raise with the architects and other members of the development team.

If you have any questions or would like to get more involved please email Mundstreet.Newhomes@lbhf.gov.uk

Parking consultation

Our design team are currently working on initial proposals for new homes on the site of the former school and have asked us to consider relocating five parking spaces on Gibbs Green Close to allow more homes to be built on the site.

Residents of the new homes would not be allowed to apply for parking permits on the existing estate.

We have developed a number of options and we want to hear your views.

Please complete the Mund Street parking survey, which will close at 5pm on Sunday 21 July 2024.
