The Virtual School is committed to providing our children with access to a comprehensive enrichment programme. The Enrichment Programme enables children and young people to participate in extra-curricular activities which give them informal ways to learn and achieve, introduce them to possible career paths or lifelong interests and develop their relationships with both cultural organisations and other young people with similar interests and experiences.
Our focus is:
- To ensure young people can maintain the relationships and interests they develop through enrichment opportunities.
- To introduce new programmes to appeal to our wider group of children and young people.
Previous activities include:
- family camp in Epping Forest for Foster families and children looked after
- creative writing residential
- outdoors and on the water residential
- drama project with the Lyric theatre
- fashion school
- design and make project in partnership with Makeaversity
- day visits to the Wellcome collection and Tate Britain
