Sankofa

The word Sankofa comes from the Akan people of Ghana and means 'Go back and get it'.

One of the Adinkra symbols for Sankofa depicts a mythical bird with its head turned backward taking an egg from its back. It expresses the importance of reaching back to knowledge gained in the past and bringing it into the present to make positive progress.

Colour in the Sankofa and write down things you have learned or experienced in the past that can you now or future generations to come.
