Collection times and days
All agreements can be tailored to meet the needs of the individual businesses for collections and can be arranged seven days a week for waste and Mon to Fri for recycling and food.
Unless specific arrangements have been agreed, please ensure that your bins are available to us from 6am on the day of collection. Bin can be placed out from 9pm on the eve of collection.
How to store and present your bins for collection
The bins need to be stored within the boundaries of your property. It is your responsibility to provide a suitable storage area. The bin remains property of the council during the duration of the contract and need to be returned at the end of the contract. If the bin is lost or stolen, charges will apply to replace the bin.
They can be put out for collection to the agreed collection point after 9pm on the eve of your collection and before 6am on the day of your collection. Any change to the collection point or access to the bins needs to be agreed in advance with us.
Missed collections
If your collection has not been collected as normal, please contact the Cleaner Greener Contact Centre on 020 8753 1100 or via Cleaner.Greener@lbhf.gov.uk to report it.
If you are experiencing repeated missed collections or long-term interruptions to your service, perhaps due to road works, please contact the Commercial Waste team on 020 8753 3021 or commercialwaste@lbhf.gov.uk. We can't offer compensation for non-collection, but we will investigate and do our best to resolve the problems.
Bank holiday collection schedules
The normal collection schedule remains unchanged on all bank holidays except during the Christmas and New Year holiday period. Please check our website each December for details of changes to collections over the festive period.
