Shepherds Bush CC 1st Xl breezed to victory over neighbours Richmond CC in the Premier Division at Bromyard Avenue on Saturday, overtaking Richmond's total of 168 all out with six wickets to spare.
That 171 for 4 total meant some impressive knocks for the home team – 72 for Marcus Howard, including eight boundaries and two sixes.
Two sixes were also struck by gung-ho keeper Fin Trenouth, who finished on 35 not out. Also worthy contributors to a fine triumph were Joe Carrasco, who scored 39, and Alex Blofield, who was 18 not out.
Chinmay Mullapudi was the toast of the bowling attack, taking four wickets for 47 runs in his 14 overs. Hugo Hughes managed three for 31, including the run-out of Richmond captain Adam London for 38 runs.
Captain Ali Easton, who didn't even need to strap on his pads as Bush achieved their winning tally, said it was great to get back to winning ways.
"Our bowlers set the tone with early wickets, and then we restricted an in-form Richmond team well," he said. "Marcus batted brilliantly, and Fin saw us over the line.
"We have a big weekend coming up, at home to Teddington on Saturday, then with the regional South East area final of the national T20 Cup competition to be played at Wimbledon CC this Sunday, with both semi-finals and final."
Bush 2nd Xl emerged on the wrong side of a tight game at Brentham on Saturday. Bush won the toss and batted first, scoring 178 all out with Andrew Perry disappointed to be caught just three runs short of his century.
Brentham achieved 179 for 8 to win the points. Special mention, however, for Sivasubramanian Chandran who took five wickets for 34 runs.
Captain of the 2nd Xl Adam Wadsworth, who took one wicket, said: "Brentham chased down Bush's first innings score in the game's final over, eight wickets down. Andrew Perry's 97 was the star contribution. We fell just short, but we go again next Saturday!"
Shepherds Bush CC Women's 1st Xl enjoyed a one-wicket win against Stoke Newington on Sunday.
Chasing the visitors' 100 total for 6 in 20 overs, Bush reached 101 for 9 in 19 overs with Marilyn Smith 26 not out. Lucie Prior headed Bush's bowling stats with two for 8, including Stoke Newington opener and captain Lisa Buckingham, caught and bowled for 14.
