Hoops wonderkid Eberechi Eze aims to fire the club even further away from the relegation zone this week.

The 19-year-old made a spectacular return to Loftus Road from his loan spell at Wycombe Wanderers helping to secure a 1-0 win over bottom-placed Sunderland on his first league start for the club.

Victory on Saturday moved the club nine points clear of the bottom three in the Championship. But Rangers have a difficult double-header of games this week against two of the in-form teams in the division.

First up is the previously postponed Aston Villa match at Villa Park tomorrow night (Tuesday), followed by the tasty west London derby against Fulham at the weekend.

It's over 100 years since the first derby clash between QPR and Fulham (Fulham beat Rangers 1-0 in the first round of the FA Cup on 13 January 1906).

Of late, the Whites have edged the derbies and secured a 2-1 win over the Hoops at Loftus Road in their last meeting in September. Realistically, Ian Holloway will be happy with at least two points from the next two games.

Meanwhile, QPR honoured a number of unsung heroes at their Community Day on Saturday. The community unsung heroes included:

  • Stevan Racz, who launched a crowd-funding campaign to buy every child affected by the Grenfell tragedy a Christmas present. Stevan who lost his uncle in the fire raised £25,000 for #ChristmasforGrenfell.
  • Professor Mark Emberton, who is at the forefront of the fight against prostate cancer.
  • Daphine Aikens, who started the Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank to help fight food poverty in the area.
  • Kevin Nathaniel, who is the lead youth worker at Phoenix Academy who mentors local children to stay in education and out of street crime.
  • Fred Young, 10, who organised a mini #Game4Grenfell for local primary school children. He raised over £3,000 for the London Fire Relief Fund.
