It must never be easy to support QPR. But this season is really testing the wits of the Hoops faithful who are surely losing faith as Rangers slide down the table like an evil dream.
But for one lucky fan, the club had a little tender loving care to give back last Saturday after the R's lost 3-1 to Leeds United at home.
The poor chap dropped his wallet while vamoosing from his seat at the end of the match - who can blame him - leaving behind his credit cards, driving licence and cash.
What a relief it must have been when he got an email from the club to say they had found it. And the cash was still inside.
The same can't be said for QPR's coffers and the world-record £40million fine the club are expected to pay after failing to comply with Financial Fair Play rules when they last got promoted to the Premier League.
The issue has still not been resolved after a three-year wrangle and the Financial Fair Play regulations have since been modified allowing Championship clubs to lose £39 million over a three-year period rather than annual losses over £8 million as was the case when QPR were found to be in troubled waters.
QPR have appealed the record-breaking fine thought to be the biggest-ever sporting following the £32m the McLaren Formula One team were fined after the Spygate scandal of 2007.
Free lunch for fans over 65
On a more positive note, QPR supporters aged 65 and over are invited to an event to share memories of the club, players and to learn more about the team.
The free event at Loftus Road on 16 January, which will offer guests a light lunch, is run in partnership by Friends of the Elderly and QPR in the Community Trust.
Guests will be joined by fellow fans and people who have been connected to the club for many years to reminisce about the club's history and share personal memories of the club or football in general.
This event marks the launch of Football Friends with QPR, a five- week programme run with support from the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA).
To book your place or for more information, call Friends of the Elderly on 0330 332 1110 or email: hello@fote.org.uk by 8 January 2018.
