Late dramas seem to be a bit of a theme at the moment with QPR.

After snatching a point in the dying embers of the west London derby with Brentford, QPR found themselves on the receiving end last Saturday.

Preston North End clinched a 1-0 win late in the day to condemn Rangers to their 17th away league game without a win as they slip to 18th place in the table.

The Hoops will have also lost ground in the Fair Play standings after having two players sent off.

Jamie Mackie got his marching orders after 22 minutes when he fouled Preston captain Tom Clarke. QPR boss Ian Holloway has said he will appeal the decision.

R's defender Alex Baptiste then received a second yellow card for dissent after the final whistle at Deepdale.

Things could not get tougher than a visit from Leeds United this Saturday at Loftus Road.

Meanwhile over in India, the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan announced the winner of QPR's Mumbai Soccer Challenge this week.

In its ninth successive year, four promising footballers - including two girls for the first time - won a 10-day trip to London facilitated by QPR in the Community Trust.

"QPR is a club with the community at its heart," said R's co-chairman Tony Fernandes. "While most of our charitable efforts are focused on our home in west London, we are delighted that the Mayor of London has come to visit one of our fantastic international projects."

The QPR chairman was joined by Bollywood legend and co-owner of Mumbai City FC Ranbir Kapoor on the day.
