A blog of two halves

Lots to think about for Mr QPR over the days ahead

James Perch had it coming. You would have thought the experienced defender would have learnt his lesson after getting away with picking up a second yellow card in the disappointing loss to Ipswich last weekend when he sent Tom Lawrence crashing into the advertising hoardings on half-time.

But instead the former Newcastle defender decided that the referees are oblivious to his tough challenges and went in hard on Matt Doherty to pick up his second booking. When? Yes, that's right. Just before the half-time interval in the defeat to Wolves at home last night.

It would have been better if he had been sent off against Ipswich. The game was beyond the west London club but he instead left the remaining 10 team-mates in a match that was there for the taking.

In both clashes, QPR have looked the superior side but have failed to convert chances into goals which is the mark of a team lacking quality and confidence.

Peculiar as the R's dealt with a play-off chasing Norwich in competent style but what am I saying? This is what the Hoops have always done to their fans.

Two defeats with teams at the lower end of the table is unacceptable and Holloway's honeymoon period is firmly over which makes Rotherham next weekend an even bigger tie than it originally was.

A lot to think about for Mr QPR over the days ahead.
