There are budget cuts all over the country from the government to the big fat cat banks and even QPR have had to tighten the purse strings to get with the financial times.

Before we forget, QPR were in danger of serious fines when their books didn’t look too clever so it is normal that the squad recruitment has suffered and big names have left Loftus Road.

The team is gradually finding its feet and the toxic culture of times past has evaporated from the dressing room so patience is needed on all sides.

Results have improved despite the horrendous home form which was the bread and butter that got Rangers back into the Premier League under Redknapp.

Henry and Polter have lost their first team spots in the last few games however I feel they belong in the starting line-up. But it’s hard to see how Henry and Polter could not be key components to the success of QPR’s season.

Hoops fans are split down the middle rather like the Trump-Clinton presidential race in regards to their love for Hasselbaink and the next four games could not be more critical for the Dutchman.

Nottingham Forest, Ipswich and Wolves are all around the Hoops in the table bar promotion chasing Norwich so the budget cuts are the last thing on the manager’s mind.

“That is football. It is what it is. We all know that the budget has gone down and all that and we are working with younger players. I'm very happy with the squad I have and the players that are here. I don't want to talk about the budget being cut. I want to concentrate on the players I have and that we have the right team and we are together,” said Jimmy Floyd.

“We need to get our mojo back for the home games and put the poor form at home to bed. We know it has been poor at Loftus Road and we know it has to end.

“The loss to Brentford has made us even more determined to improve our displays in front of our loyal fans who are always behind us. We now need to give them something to shout about starting on Saturday against Forest."
