Ian Holloway is Mr QPR. He is a one off; a man who has more one-liners than Tommy Cooper and did not disappoint on his first day back in charge of the Hoops.
The team sat down and watched Coach Carter in the canteen – minus the popcorn to the relief of the club's nutritionist. I doubt even Guardiola has used this method before.
The Bristolian will need all his experience to orchestrate the steep climb up the Championship. It might have been an idea to have watched Cliffhanger instead.
"I care about this club. It hurts me to see the club struggling on the pitch and not competing at the highest level. I am a trier and I am going to try and get QPR performing again and most importantly winning games," said the 53-year-old.
"The Championship is an unforgiving league. It is never easy and we know that. We can only get our head down and do the business on the pitch starting on Saturday."
Norwich are the first opponents of Holloway's second stint in charge of the club.
Expect a noisy Loftus Road tomorrow before kick-off.
Ear plugs at the ready!
