Community Infrastructure Levy
This is a new power which allows us to levy a charge on the net increase in gross internal area floorspace arising from new development in order to fund infrastructure that is needed to support development in the area. On 20 May 2015 and pursuant to section 213 of the Planning Act 2008, we approved the borough Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Charging Schedule. This took effect on 1 September 2015.
